B Corper

In September 2022, MRCagney became a certified B Corporation with an overall score of 113.9. W00t! According to the B Corp website (linked back there), the median score for ordinary businesses is 50.9 out of 200, and a score of 80 qualifies you for B Corp certification. So our score of 113.9 seems pretty good. But how good relative to other B Corps in the world / New Zealand / our sector / our industry etc.? Our board of directors wanted to know.

Well, it turns out that you can't easily answer those questions from the B Corp website, nor from any other website we found in our initial searches. But then we dug deeper and found a public data file listing all certified B Corps. Jackpot. With that we answered our questions and rejoiced. The end.

But wait, where is that file, you ask, and what are the answers? Voilà, we made an app for that:
